How much does a website cost?
There is no single price, because the price of a website depends mostly on what the site has to do and how much work the project takes. A simple website with a few pages and a contact form is a different job from a site with online booking, payments or links to other systems. That is why this guide does not give you one market average. It gives you a list of the things that really move the price, and the real numbers from our own offer: our basic Website package is $499 one time plus $29 per month.
Why a single average is not very useful
An average blends very different things together: a small site for a barber and a large system for a company. The result describes neither. It is far more useful to compare specific offers: the same scope, the same materials, the same rules for recurring fees. We deliberately do not quote market averages or price ranges from other providers, because we could not support them.
The pieces of a website price
When someone asks how much a website costs, they are usually asking about several different costs at once. It helps to separate them.
- The one-time build: designing and building the website, setting up the pages and the contact form, and getting it ready to launch.
- Hosting: the service that keeps your website online and reachable. It is usually a recurring fee.
- Maintenance: keeping the site healthy and making small updates, such as a new price, a changed opening hour or a swapped photo.
- Custom features: anything beyond a standard presentation website, such as online booking, payments, a store, a members area or a connection to another system. Each of these is separate work with its own price and its own running cost.
- Later changes: work you ask for after launch that is bigger than a small update, such as a new page type or a redesign.
What changes the one-time price
- Scope: the number of pages and how complex they are.
- Materials: who provides the text, photos and logo. Missing materials mean extra work or waiting.
- Design: choosing a ready-made look is different work from a custom design based on your inspiration.
- Features and integrations: a contact form is a normal part of a website. Booking, payments and links to other systems are separate projects.
One-time price versus recurring fees
Building the website is a one-time cost. But a website also needs to be kept running: hosting, maintenance and small content updates. When you compare offers, add up both. A low one-time price tells you little if it comes with a high monthly fee, and the other way around. Here is what our monthly hosting and maintenance fee covers.
What our offer includes
The basic Website package is $499 one time, with hosting and maintenance at $29 per month. We build your website first and invoice you only after you approve the final result, so there is no deposit for the build. We deliver a preview of a standard website within 10 business days of receiving your complete materials. Launch follows your approval and payment.
The monthly fee includes up to 30 minutes of small content updates. Work beyond that is $39 per hour, and we always get your approval first. New features and large rework are not small updates: we quote them separately. Up to 10 pages when you provide the content, within the structure we agree on. More complex features, e-commerce and integrations are not automatically included.
- Website: $499 one time + $29 per month. In the first year that comes to $847.
- Website + AI Receptionist: $749 one time + $99 per month in total. In the first year: $1,937. This package adds an AI receptionist; see how the AI receptionist works.
- Website + AI Receptionist + SEO: $999 one time + $129 per month in total. In the first year: $2,547. This package adds extended SEO setup and limited ongoing SEO care.
Want a look that is not one of our samples? A custom look is a $149 add-on, which brings the one-time totals to $648, $898, $1,148. The monthly fee stays the same. See custom website design for what it includes.
These numbers do not include a domain name or email mailboxes. We confirm how to connect your domain before you order. The full details are on the pricing page.
